Queridos e Queridas Camaradas, É com um sentimento de profunda solidariedade que, em nome dos trabalhadores portugueses que representamos, a CGTP-IN transmite os votos de pleno sucesso para a greve geral e manifestações sindicais que têm lugar na Grécia, no dia 15 de Junho de 2011. As vossas acções desenvolvem-se em protesto contra as brutais “medidas de austeridade” propostas pelo governo grego, no quadro da nova intervenção externa da “troika”, que conduzirão, a serem aprovadas no Parlamento, a um brutal agravamento da situação económica do vosso país e a um ainda maior retrocesso nas condições de vida e de trabalho dos trabalhadores e da população da Grécia. Como sabeis, também Portugal está a ser alvo de uma operação de intervenção muito semelhante, por parte da UE, do BCE e do FMI. Na sequência das recentes eleições formar-se-á um governo dos partidos mais à direita, anunciando-se no imediato medidas anti-sociais e anti-populares duríssimas às quais a CGTP-IN, os trabalhadores e o povo português terão de responder com uma luta determinada e persistente. Estamos pois, camaradas, plenamente identificados, unidos e solidários com a vossa greve geral e com as lutas sindicais e populares no vosso país. É decisivo que os nossos esforços convirjam para pôr fim à exploração e às medidas anti laborais e anti populares em cada um dos nossos países e no conjunto da UE. É fundamental prosseguir a luta por uma sociedade que responda às necessidades dos povos e não aos interesses dos agiotas, dos especuladores e dos monopólios. Fraternas Saudações Sindicais

Dear comrades, It is with a feeling of profound solidarity that, on behalf of the Portuguese workers we represent, the CGTP-IN conveys wishes of full success for the general strike and trade union rallies that are taking place in Greece, on 15 June 2011. Your actions are being held in protest against the brutal “austerity measures” proposed by the Greek government, in the context of the new foreign intervention of the “troika”, which will lead, in case of adoption by the Parliament, to a very serious worsening of your country’s economic situation and to an even deeper regression in the living and working conditions of the Greek workers and people. As you know, Portugal has also been targeted by a very similar operation, with the intervention of the EU, the ECB and the IMF. Following the recent general elections, a government of the more right-wing parties will be formed, and very soon will be implemented the already announced very harsh anti-social and anti-popular measures, to which the CGTP-IN, the Portuguese workers and people will have to respond with determined and persistent struggle Therefore, comrades, we fully identify and stand in unity and solidarity with your general strike and with the trade union and popular struggles in your country. It is crucial that we converge in our efforts to fight and put an end to exploitation and to the anti-labour and anti-popular measures adopted in our respective countries and in the EU. It is fundamental to continue the struggle for a society that meets the people’s needs and not the interests of fraudulent moneylenders, speculators and monopolies. Fraternal trade union greetings |
